Accelerometer stops working

The accelerometer of my x performance stops after some days so auto-rotate and other stuff does not work anymore until I reboot...

The screen have stoped rotating. Example when looking at pictures, in Chrome etc and rotating the mobile to get it turned 90 degrees and filling the whole screen.

"Rotate automatic" is activated but still no rotation. After restart it worked once, but the problem reoccured and restart is no longer working.

Any idé what is creating this?

Fix is on the way, meanwhile disable Google location history as a temporary workaround.

Disabling the Google location history works but if you have more than one Google account on your device you must disable it for each account or this method does not works.

Same! Very frustrating. Have to reboot my phone 8 to 10 times a day. When I reported it, was told they were aware of a problem and would be sending a patch. That was 3 weeks ago. Not impressed.

Disabling Google account, restarting and reenabling it after reboot, as described earlier, really worked for me. It's already more than week without restart and everything works fine.

The location history only records where you have been, as opposed to location services which is used by apps like Pokemon Go & Chrome & Maps to help you navigate places some more info can be found in an article by Alex Dobie at Android Central
