Android 10 Fingerprint Reader and Battery Stats
The Android 10 update has somehow affected the fingerprint detection. On Android 9, it was always fast, no matter if I unlocked my phone with the screen deactivated or from the lockscreen. Now, however, the fingerprint reader is very slow when trying to unlock the phone while the screen is deactivated. When I activate the screen beforehand and unlock the phone from the lockscreen, everything works just fine. It would be great if that could be fixed.
Another small thing: When I go into the battery settings, the battery statistics are missing. I cannot see how much battery different apps have consumed.

In Sony's defence, face recognition was removed by Google.... Rest is stupidity on Sony's part

@TomW1 for battery stats go to Settings > Battery, then tap the three dots in the top right corner ans you'll find Battery usage there.

@Manar126 wrote:finally; it's not just the fingerprint sensor. we lost a lot more.
I lost the automatic gesture response function.
facial recognition.
using the screen with one hand.
Sony needs to rectify that🤔🙄😐🙁
you can add FingerprintExtensionService to battery exceptions from the Applications (with system apps) list

I too have the same problem with the fingerprint reader after updating to 52.1.A.0.532 on my XZ2C.
EDIT: @potaato: thanks for sharing, I did it, but I see no difference

Voilà. Je viens de recevoir la mise à jour corrective "52.1.A.0.618".
Pas de nouvelles. Une amélioration au niveau de capteur d'empreinte mais le reste rien.
On a beaucoup perdu.

I really hope they'll send us the update quickly because I'm going crazy! The real problem for me are the audio messages in apps like telegram, WhatsApp and Instagram.
Nobody can hear me!
I look forward to have the update, I'm fed up
