Hi. I have a new PS4 Pro connected to a new Bravia TV.
I originally connected the PS4 to the TV via the HT-XT1 HDMI port.
Unfortunately when I do this I don’t get a 4K picture only a 1080 picture.
Basically connecting direct to Bravia TV gives me 4K but not the HT-XT1 sound quality.
Connecting via the HT-XT1 gives me the sound quality but not the 4K picture.
I’ve checked as many settings on the TV, PS4 and HT-XT1 that I can without success.
I’m disappointed that three Sony products together don’t produce the quality expected (I purposly bought the Sony Bravia TV thinking this would happen).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. pb

IMHO your soundbase is too old to support fully your PS4 pro, the best configuration is to have it connected directly to the TV with the sound going back to HT via ARC. It should help in any case also to have a faster connection so less input lag.

Hi.
That is correct and the way I am currently using the PS4 and HT-XT1.
PS4 is connnected directly to the Bravia HDMI 2 port.
The HT-XT1 is connected to the Bravia HDMI (ARC) port.
Thanks for looking at this.
Much appreciated.
Hi. With this set up I get PS4 4K picture.
If I put the PS4 into the HT-XT1 I get 1080 only.
In the HT-XT1, Settings > HDMI > Control fo HDMI? (P. THRU)

Thanks everyone.
Ive made a few changes as suggested without success. It looks like 4K isn’t supported despite it looking like it does.
If you have any other ideas please share.
Thanks again for all your help.
