My phones signal goes out completely sometimes and doesnt comes back until I switch it off and on.
Mostly it happens when it loses signal, like when I am in a lift, then when i am out it doesnt come back. Even after a day.
this is really frustating and i lost a lot of calls and unknown number of sms.
The signal shows one bar, but when you try to make a call, it just says connecting and doesnt do a thing.
Is this a problem with the radio ? any fixes for this ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
contact your network and ask them if there's a coverage problem
also go to
settings -> sony ericsson -> connectivity -> internet settings
btw do you have a SIM lock? if you do, remove it
I dont have a coverage problem. When this happens and I restart the phone, it works.
I do have the APN settings automatically downloaded. I tried with manula settings too. I dont have a sim lock.
The problem is, when the phone goes out of range. When it gets back to place where there is full range, it doesnt search for it or gets stuck some where in the process.
The signal shows one bar, but when you try to make a call, it just says connecting and doesnt do a thing. If I restart it everything is back to normal.
go to settings -> location & security -> make sure to remove the SIM card lock
Yep, its not enabled. I was using the same sim on a htc windows phone before, without a sim lock.

3) go to settings -> sony ericsson -> connectivity -> internet settings
Yep, i do have a task killer installed (advanced task killer)
that could be the problem, backup everything, repair your phone with SEUS or PCC do NOT install the taskiller, you do not need it. and then see if the problem persists
