Just bought a new Spiro phone.
I have inserted a memory card and was able to attach it to my PC via USB and copy files to the memory card. When I detach the USB cable (safely remove!), the memory card content is not visible. No mp3 files are detected and using the File Manager, I can see no files on the memory card and the status shows 0 Kbytes. I am not able to create new folders on the memory card either. Get strange error message about illegal character in file name - will be removed, but nothing happens. I have tried to insert the memory card in another phone (not Spiro) and it works. I have tried to use another working memory card in the Spiro, but get exactly the same sympthoms.
I have also tried to switch of the phone and connect to the PC, then turn it on and safely remove, but not change.
Any good ideas ?.

Solved! Go to Solution.
When checking the memory card, it showed out to be Class 4. I got confused by the mistake made by the vendor by specifying it to be Class 2. Further more, I thought that since the memory card was accessible from the PC, the phone was able to access and it was therefore correct. From this I guess that the phone exports the memory card USB interface directly to the PC and the PC gets direct control.
Well, all I need to do now, is to buy a new Class 2 card, I hope!.
Thanks a lot for the your help.

Yes, it seems your phone was acting as a USB card reader when connected to the PC.Glad you got to the root of the problem and hopefully a class 2 card should work.
