My C510 freezes at start.. Please help

My C510 starts but freezes after selecting normal mode from flight mode select menu

No Escape... I pulled off battery and restarted many times... no escape

I tried sony update service...but no use

because  phone stucks at first, does not show the menu for usb connection mode when i connect usb, so cannot select phone mode

Please help

What i want to do?

As per your above comment, i trid updating the software but it may format all phone memory and i dont have backup of my phone memory.

So can you please advise, how do i save my contacts and phone memory in mass storage or is there any other way i can backup my phone data before updating software?

Any help from you all will be appriciated.

Use Sony Ericsson PC suite, connect via usb cable, and in phone mode, back up all your data to pc, then update phone using sony ericsson update service. After updating, restore the data.

Also try, repair phone feature in pc suite

update service is available standalone or with pc suite

Hi Rithurag,

Thank you for ur response. I tried using PC suite but it wont allowing me to connect on Phone Mode. It was automatically going on Mass Storage mode. I manage to take backup only for my contacts. But all my notes, reminder and tasks are gone after software update.

But now, my phone is working properly and it feels like using all new C510. Special Thanks to Sony update service.   I will start using backup and restore feature in Sony PC Companion to save my data.

One advise for all users - please keep backup of your phone memory when you get time.
