Of course the phone book has also had a social make over. Your friends latest status update, birthday, photos and interests are all gathered in the phonebook along with the call and messaging history you have with that contact. Birthdays and other Facebook events are also added in phones calendar which means that it will be very tricky to come up with a good excuse for forgetting someone’s birthday;-)

this is quite interesting since the only option to get status updates

I have friends that post just once in a while others everyday others pictures etc but nothing appears not a single update

hey i dont get these statues update too..

i mean in previous version i remember that status updates showed in my contacts..

but i dont have anything..

also, my show status updates have been greyed out..

to suze - do you have the latest 2.3.4..?

the twitter updates? not even that

I have the latest 2.3.4 (4.0.2.A.0.42) and this is what I did to get it working.

1. Add the Facebook widget to the home screen

2. Open the Facebook app (I think you at least need to sync existing contacts)

3. Use the back key to exit the Facebook (do not log out)

4. Open contacts > Settings. Now status updates should be available

Let me know if it works for you guys as well.

Not sure if this helps but have you enabled FB inside Xperia on your phone? Go to Settings>Sony Ericsson>Facebook inside Xperia and tick Facebook integration (and select applications if needed)

Hey thanks johan..iys working now..;-) i'm getting the status uodates now..uliwooly check it out..though i'm not sure how much ram  now fb will take.. I'll check the ram after some time..

Hii qseck , thanks for the suggestion but we dont need facebook inside xperia to be enabled for this..it just works with integration disabled:-)
