Hello all,
I jave an Xperia M4 aqua E2306 running Android 5.0. The problem I'm having is that the Contacts application does show all of my contacts synchronize from accounts like Facebook or Google but the phone app itself does not show the contact names only the contact phone numbers I've gone through the settings and I cannot find anything that will allow me to change this behavior I have deleted the cache of the phone app on the settings and rebooted my phone but that does not work. I have a lot of applications installed and downloaded and a lot of settings so I don't want to factory default my phone unless I extremely need to. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Jay.

1. Contacts
2. Menu
3. Filter
4. Make sure they are selected.

Thank you for you reply, however, as I mentioned in my original post the Contacts application is not the problem because that one is showing the contact names, the only problem is the phone app itself that does not show the contacts names on the call log.

Thank you for your reply.
I don't want to sound rude but I need to be very clear. The settings on the filter sections that belong to the contacts app have already been verified but again that's not the problem the problem lies within the phone application that does not associate the contacts names with the phone numbers so when people call me I cannot tell who's calling me because I only see the phone number.
Thanks again for all your help.

I had seen that solution posted on the forum a few days ago so I gave it a shot but unfortunately it did not solve the problem I just did it again right now and to no avail

Rather odd, are you using a third party phone app? what if you backup the contacts > delete them > restore them?
