Sony Xperia M (C1905) - free (spanish/spain)
Android 4.1.2, compilation 15.1.C.2.8
It's tell me: "You have the last firmware". Why I Can not upgrade to Android 4.3?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Probably because your country or network hasn't authorised the firmware for release
Thank's for your answer. But my phone is network-free and I see the availability of 4.3 in the sony spain page (http://support.sonymobile.com/es/xperiam/software/)
I'm reseting the phone
Nothing new. Same message "You have the last software". I don't understand. The 4.3 is one year old (more or less).
Should I throw my phone away? 😞
I've tried to explain this many times and I'll try again - In some countries the firmware is available but and maybe one of the networks will authorise the firmware for release and the other not and as a knock on effect this decision could impact on generic users - So the site is correct in saying it's available but if the networks won't authorise then there is your issue
You could however manually flash another countries firmware if you really want it and as for putting it in the bin - I've heard that threat many times so do or don't do it makes no difference to me - I'm not Sony so
Thanks. Do it.
Android 4.3
"manually flash another countries firmware", what does that mean how does one do it?
@Sipsep63
Manually flashing firmware means that you download a .FTF file which is the firmware (software) and you load (Flash) it on your phone.
Sony releases different firmware for different countries. These firmwares are almost same save for a few minor differences.
Following link can help you regarding "How to flash" and you can download different firmwares from it too.
