Just purchased an M5 today, and when I plug it into the power supply via USB to charge it, it constantly vibrates because the charging stops and starts.
When I plug into the PC via USB it charges fine.
I'm currently preparing for and running the PC Companion to try to fix the issue, but in the meantime, does anybody have any suggestions as to what the cause of this issue may be and how to fix it?
Thanks!

Thanks - I've managed to scavenge around and have found another wall plug for the USB cable...will test for the next 30 or so minutes and reply back.
Seems to be working okay at the moment - perhaps it was a faulty wall plug (which I've been using for 3 years without any fault at all, including earlier today for my previous phone!).
Of course, if it still plays up I will reply here.

Hi @Eden0032,
It does seem like the charger itself is the cause of this. Were you using the one that came with the phone or was this another charger?

I've had it on charge over night via portable phone charger with no issues so all seems good.
It does look like my plug has become faulty at a really coincidental time.
Thanks for the help!

I'm glad to hear that you were able to identify the cause.

Maybe you didn't notice last time because your previous phone doesn't vibrate when you start/stop charging?
Sony I think it vibrates when connecting and disconnecting, so if the charger kept on on/off/on/off, your other devices might not show this properly.
