So apprently my player Sony BDV-E2100 will no longer beable to access amazon prime from the stated date, why? i only bought my player 8 months ago, and made sure it would give me access to this service, now its being revoked without reason, and im left with a large shiny black brick. Any advice? do i have to buy a new player? what guarantee do i have that the servcie wont be revoked on that a few months later too?
It seems that this is because amazon are withdrawing their support for the sony platform. In the US amazon are emailing registered customers with an offer of a 25 dollar voucher against a firestick! Wonder if we will get the same offer?
Seems this is happening on my TV as well. Would the solution of a Roku or Firestick or Apple TV work for this?
I had an offer from Amazon to buy a firestick for £20.00 they will proberly email all amazon customers with the offer

in Germany the affected customers received a similar offer as well - they got 20€ off the Fire TV Stick (50% off).

Got my offer from Amazon now by email

Hello - hope you can help me...
I have a Sony BDVE2100 Home Theatre system and have it connected to a projector via the HDMI output.
Amazon Prime Video was working well until the service was pulled recently.
I already had a spare Amazon Firestick so did not need to take up the offer I received via email.
However, there is no HDMI 'INPUT' so can anyone explain how I can connect it to my HT system?
Can I use the optical cable somehow? Obviously, I'd like to enjoy the surround sound via the HT system and the picture via the projector.
Thanks, Neil
