For some reason, the Home button on the remote of my STR-DN1080 didn't respond so the home screen did not display. Having consulted the manual, I followed the steps to reset to factory settings hoping this would resolve the issue. For several hours now, the "clearing" message has been flashing and the unit seems to switch on and off althought the power light remains green. According to the manual, wiping the memory should be complete when the message changes to "cleared", however this does not seem to be happening. Having previously owned a STR-DN1040, the reset worked fine. Does anyone have any advice regarding how this can be resolved? I am disappointed by this as the unit is less than several months old.
