Hi
I Bought a Sony BDPS3700B ( first blue ray player that i have owned)yesterday and have played a couple of normal DvD's on it- however did notice that it has a pronounced layering pause - is this normal and not a faulty unit, and will this also be experienced with a Blue ray disc ?
Regards
Richard
Hi Richard, welcome to the Community.
Could you explain a little more about the problem? How pronounced is the break? Most modern players should have plenty of buffer memory to deal with that sort of problem.
It would be interesting to see whether this also occurs with Blu-ray. Are you able to test that?
Cheers
Mick
Hi Rico,
I’m just looking into this for you and will get back to you shortly.
Thanks,

Hi Rico883,
I guess we can say that the issue is not related to the DVDs or the hardware used to read DVDs since it happen also during streaming.
Maybe you can try to update the player using this link: https://bit.ly/2GkNiWb and check if it helps.

Hi-i have routed it directly to the telly rather than the splitter and not noticed it on normal Dvds -so touch wood might have done it will keep an eye on it though- not tried the Freeview part yet
