Hi there,
Sorry you can't find anyone at Sony to talk too. No worries, there's always someone on hand here to discuss issues.
I can only talk of my own experience here so hopefully someone more expert will join in! Last year I purchased a Sony BDP-S7200 blu-ray player form my local Richer Sounds store. They had two models on offer both of which had the same model number however one of them was a BDP-S7200 (MR)
I later discovered that the (MR) defined this unit as being mulit-region. I guess you need to look out for someone advertising the product either as Multi-Region or (MR)
Pricewise there wasn't a great deal of difference, the (MR) version was £20 more.
Look out for products displaying this logo which denotes multi-region capabilities

Hi there
The main difference that I can see are:
BDV-E2100 = 800W
BDV-E3100 = 1000W
In regards to multi-region.... Amazon lists them both as region 2 only?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-BDVE2100-Blu-ray-Cinema-System-Black/dp/B00BJG656C
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SONY-BDVE3100-Blu-ray-Cinema-System/dp/B00F0L41AE
So not sure where your seeing the difference?
Cheers

In addition to what Quinnicus says, you might have better luck visiting a specialist TV/HiFi retailer if that's a possibility for you. Like I said previously, Richer Sounds do advertise if a product is Multi-Region.
In addition to this, if you can visit a shop to view these products and take a look at the back of the unit where the serial number is located it will also display a logo like the ones in the images I posted above. Look for the logo that says [ALL] or [123456]

hi
i am considering buying a sony BDVE2100 HOME THEATRE SYSTEM. I have read some reviews about this particular unit randomly shutting down and rebooting whilst playing dvds. My question is has this problem been corrected.
