I have a 10 month old BDP-S6500 Blu Ray player that has developed an intermittent fault. Some way into playing a disc both sound an picture will start to stutter. Stopping the disc, cleaning disc does not remedy this. I have the tried a different disc and the stutter is still there. Powering down to standby using the remote also doesn’t fix the problem. The only thing that does resolve the problem is complete power down by disconnecting from the power supply by removing the power lead from the back, pluging it in again thereby rebooting it. All is well again, until next time. The player is under a 2 year guarantee as I bought it from John Lewis. Should I just return it under warranty or is there a simple fix I can do?
