batteries for cybershot dsc-h200

i just got the camera and am surprised to see aa batteries not a lithium is it just as good this way ? also im finding it hard to shut the battery door and it doesnt show which way the aa batteries go i am a bit disappointed have i a lesser model?  many thanks ,

It's show you which way to insert them inside each battery compartment (there's a small image of a battery)
