Sonos Beam ARC Problem

Recently changed my Sonos system Beam, Bass, 2 Sonos 1,  around took the Playbar out and added a Beam that worked perfectly with an LG in another room.

Since I have connected it up, I have to reset the TV and unplug for it to recognise the Beam. This is a pain. I know their are issues but does anyone in simple terms have a work round? Thank you and keep well.

Hi there,

Can you let me know the full model number for your Sony TV?

Best wishes,

Does this only happen on ARC? Have you checked a different connection like optical or line-in for example?

It also wouldn't hurt to make sure you have the latest software installed on all of your devices.

Get 5 different HDMI cables and try your luck. Some devices combo don't work with some cable which is perfectly fine on another combo. Been there with my last SONY TV and satelite receiver.

Thank you, I shall try that and report back.

Thank you.

It only happens on ARC. I have a Sonos Playbar  via optical cable without problems. Both are using the latest software updates.

To avoid the Sonos Beam ARC issues, could you try connecting a different device using ARC? This should shed some light on the actual cause of the issue.

I’m having the same problem with my XF9005 and Sony DN1080 amp.

was fine for months on the 6545 firmware but now any audio via arc stops working until I disconnect the HDMI cable, restart then plug it back in.

frustrating to say the least.

holding out for a firmware fix as support hasn’t really helped yet 😑
