I have the KD43XH9196 and I have successfully connected my 1st Gen AirPods to it. Audio of system sounds and whatever I was watching was coming through fine. Last night suddenly there is no audio coming through on the AirPods. When I connect the AirPods the speakers on the TV fall silent but there is no audio coming through on the Airpods. I have also tried connecting my Bose QuietComfort 35 which is gives the same result.
I have tried unpairing and deleting the bluetooth devices and I have tried turning bluetooth on and off again. Neither has resolved the issue. Anything else I could try, this is really frustrating!
Anyone able to help?
Hi @mas123 Have you tried a soft reset (hold down the remote power button for approx 10 seconds).
Will try. What settings would I lose with that?
Unfortunatley, this has not fixed the issue 😕
Anything else I could try?
Hey, I came across this link: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs-android-/kd-55x8509c/artic... :(, There's a note saying that if using models other than the listed
Sony does not guarantee their operation.

Thank you for that link. It has however confused me even more as to why this is not working correctly on my TV!
Firstly it states "Bluetooth headphones and soundbars can only be used with the following TV models". The XH85 is listed there. My TV is the XH9196 which is a variant of the XH8505 which is the exact same set.
It then goes on to say "The TV series listed above support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Bluetooth profile and can be used with Bluetooth headphones". My TV also supports A2DP. When my bluetooth headphones do manage to connect, a message appears on the TV stating "Bluetooth A2DP audio device connected".
The linked article further states "If [A/V sync] is available in the TV settings menu, then your TV model supports Bluetooth headphones". A/V sync is available in my TV settings.
Therefore my TV model is 100% compatable with Bluetooth headphones. The question is why is this feature not working as is it supposed to on my TV.
Any further advice would be appreciated.
Time for a Factory Reset, I think.
You will lose all your settings, alas; but when you re-establish them, the Air Pods will likely come back.
