How can I batch convert multiple Pixel Shift Images from ARW to Tiff via Viewer and still change the Peripheral Edge Noise Reduction from the default value of 0,5 ?
In Edit I cannot save processing XML files that contain this very setting to get applied via Viewer conversion.
Hi there,
Welcome to the community.
I'll see if I can track down an answer. Maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi UglyKids,
I believe that's not possible.
The changes have to be done manually.
I found this link on the Sony website explaining the process: https://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/app/imagingedge/en/instruction/1_2_about_psm.php

Well that doesn't help as I need to process dozens of thousands of images this way. I believe its a bug as should even be possible to copy that very setting/value to another image inside EDIT which doesn't work either.
Please fix it Sony!
Hi there,
I'm just curious to know if the steps in the link posted by @The_Black_Rose actually work for generating ARQ files as mentioned? I.e. is the issue happening because of the format?

Apparently the default value of 0,5 peripheral edge noise reduction gets already applied/coded when creating the pixel shift arq file via Viewer module. You can edit this value in Edit module and resave to arq or export to other formats, but only for one image at a time. Its a slow and time consuming process. I cant even paste this setting from one image to the other when several files are opened in Edit.
I need a way to apply a different value via XML settings directly in Viewer for batch processing.
Hi again,
I see how that can be improved. I'll put this forth as feedback through my Sony contact.

Still no fix or update on this I am afraid. Its getting really bad lately..
