Sony a5100 with SEL55210

Hi everyone,

I bought Sony SEL55210 lens and want to update the 'lens software' -SEL55210 Lens system software update Ver.02 (Windows computers procedure)

I downloaded Update_SEL55210V2.exe and from the description of the lens and the camera the update is compatible. The lens firmare is 1.0 as shown in the camera's setup menu.

Computer does not recognise camera and I have followed all instructions carefully.

any advice is appreciated,

Strangely, the laptop installer shows that camera cannot be found... so update coud not proceed, but when I checked the setup menu of the A5100 later, the lens firmware has been updated to Version 2.0
