I carry two cameras, one for context and the other for the prime subject material captured from long range - ie. one for the tall buildings and one for defects as high as roof level! I’ve just swapped to Sony from a Nikon and a Konica. I’d prefer to use my 5100 for the super-telephoto and zoom work but my old glass won’t fit and I can’t find suitable new lenses that fit. I’m talking anything from 500 to 800mm equivalents. Any ideas, please?
Hi @CaveBoss, welcome to the community.
Sony do make a 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 G OSS which might be suitable for you.
I can't recommend any particular model, but some Alpha users also shoot alpha-mount Sigma in the longer focal lengths.
Cheers
Mick
Thanks. Found it. Much appreciated. Will let you know if that's the one for me.....
