Done the firmware update 3.01 for a7iii, eye af is now intermittent, why?

Firmware update seems to have changed some settings, and now the eye af is intermittent, can anyone shed any light. I have focus on wide and af-c. Tried various settings, but no luck, can anyone shed any light on this.

There are a number of reasons why the Eye AF function may not focus on the eyes. Please see the following help page for more details here.
