Hi,
I have a new Sony a55 camera and wish to use my existing Minolta 3200i flashgun (it has the same fittings). Is this item compatible?
The Minolta lenses work just fine.
Many thanks
Martin

I think only the following Minolta flashes are fully compatible with Sony Alpha in auto mode: -
3600HS (D), 5600HS (D), 2500(D), MACRO RING FLASH1200, MACRO TWIN FLASH2400.
The following flashes can be used but may not be controlled automatically:
5400HS, 5400Xi, 3500Xi, 2000Xi, 5200i, 3200i, 2000i, 4000AF(*), 2800AF(*), 1800AF(*).
*Flash shoe adapter FS-1100 is required.

Thanks Blencogo,
I tried the 3200i flashgun on the Sony A55 and as you rightly say it does not work in automatic mode, so manual only.
I guess I will need to get a compatible flash - seems every camera I have needs a different flashgun!!!
Many thanks
Martin
