[REQUEST] App scaling options

Welp. We need app scaling options. The 21:9 screen looks good but for games it's awful right now. Why is there no option in the settings app to force games into 16:9 or 18:9? This is probably the biggest flaw so far and a reason not to buy this right now in my opinion. I'm pleased with this phone so far but this needs to be addresed asap!

Hi @xPandamon, sorry for the late reply to your question.

You may experience that certain app content is displayed with unwanted cropping on your Xperia device with 21:9 display. It is not possible to avoid this by changing the display settings on the device.

Currently, some apps are able to fit 16:9 full-screen content on part of a 21:9 display. Others stretch this content to fit the vertical dimensions of the display, resulting in unwanted cropping on the sides. In some apps it is possible to switch between these modes, in others it is not possible.

So then your answer is are your solution is nothing. Just tell us that all to deal with it when you should put that in the firmware because there are a lot of apps are cut off and cropped and it is unwanted that is definitely a big difference design flaw on your end and for you to is to blow people off and save deal with it or forget about it nothing to do about it really makes me very disappointed in Sony

There is no solution within the settings of the device, that is correct. Some apps are updated and works just fine with 21:9, but some are not and the developers have to update their applications to take full advantage of 21:9.
