I use a microSD card to store my music on an Experia 10 and the Sony Music app to play it. I updated the contents of the SD card but the library still lists song titles from previously (cannot play song) as well as the new ones.Where songs are on the old and new selection it lists them twice. No music is stored on the phone itself.
I have tried all I can to fix this:
in Apps > Clear Storage and Clear Cache
Removed the SD card, uninstalled the Music app, re-installed it, restarted phone, left for 10 mins then reinserted card
Connected to PC via USB-C and browsed to
This PC\Xperia 10\Internal shared storage\Android\data\com.sonyericsson.music but no content to clear
The titles even show in the app without the SD card in the device.
So where is it storing this data and how do I clear it?
The Music app is preinstalled which would mean it can't be uninstalled, but I guess you can factory reset the device, since none of the above fixes worked for you, no need to format the SD card, since the titles are seemingly saved on the phone, as it still shows without it inserted.
OK, frustrating to have to do that but the duplication and "cannot play file" is driving me mad so I guess I'll have to.
