Something might have gone wrong that caused the phone to freeze and drain the battery.

(:smileylaugh: at the alarm)

From my calculations, your phone should definitely be having above 50%  battery.

And now do not waste it. Force shutdown it.

Something's there on your PC causing troubles. Do you have access to another PC?

Also what you can do is boot PC in safe mode+ networking on and then use SUS.

( Use SUS only)

Force shutdown your phone by

Press and hold the power button + Volume Up button for

10 Seconds > ( 3 Vibrations ) Force shutdown

Then do not try to switch it on.

Disable firewall and antivirus while updating your phone.

SUS ( Sony Update Service)  ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions

So, I tried it few hours ago, but it keeps on showing the following error message:

The installation failed

Please disconnect the phone and make sure that the battery is fully charged before trying again. If the problem persists, please contact support.

Problem with the battery? But I can't even charge my phone, it just keeps on looping the SONY logo.
Should I let the phone battery totally drained out for a reset?

Thanks for your help, and hope for a reply soon

No no, don't let the battery drain, that may cause you trouble.

You got another PC to test with ?

You phone needs about 50% battery.

Do you remember how much % it had before you tried updating it ?

So if you force shutdown your phone and connect it to the charger, it shows boot loop ?

Let me start from the beginning:
Last night my phone was left in stamina mode, standbying (with 96% + wifi on)
In the half way of my sleep, it freezed (no alarm clock this morning :smileysilly:)
I rebooted it with power + volume+, it suddenly only got 75% of battery left (stamina mode failed huh?)
I saw the update and thought it would help, but the tragedy happened.
10hrs since it happened

When I connect to the charger, the red led is on and shows the SONY logo, then turned off (should be boot loop)

Again, thanks for your help Slightly_smiling_Face

lol using my old computer (which needed 15mins to start up), I was able to recover my phone(but I choose factory reset anyway) when it is at 53% battery:smileylaugh:

Thanks for your help!
