Xperia ZX2 compact Sony Email app not syncing properly

Hi there,

The Sony Email app (ie the one that comes preinstalled) isn't syncing properly. I've set the Check Frequency to Push for both Off-peak and On-peak but there are times when emails don't come through unless I manually refresh.

Stamina mode is off and I'm using the Microsoft Outlook app for work emails and that's working fine. Any thoughts?

I found this fix, suggested online, try to remove your email app from the list of battery-optimized apps in Settings.

Hi there, I had a similar issue with the email app not syncing. I had to remove the email account from phones main "Settings/Accounts" and reset the app before setting it up from scratch. That sorted it but I did loose "mark as read" from the locked screen notification. Not sure you'll get your contacts back. 🙁

Hey, I don't have that on my accounts list....it's completely gone 🤷🏻‍♂️ Don't know if it's a issue all over or just me....

I had trouble finding it. I was looking on the email app's Settings/Accounts page. I found it in the phones main Settings/Accounts page. May be you have to delete it from both if its there? I'm not to clued up on this. Sorry.

I'm totally baffled to why it's all off a sudden not allowing me in...doing my head in! Thanks for the pointers though, appreciate your time on it 👌🏻

Eventually maybe try installing the app for the email domain you have, for instance I found my email working with less issues, when I was using the supported app for it.
