Very slow network connection to my VAIO

I am trying to connect my VAIO PCG-GRS614MP to my network. The network works very slow when I try to copy files from the VAIO to another computer. However the network is very fast between the other computers.
It is the same problem when using a router. Only the internet connection via DSL is fast with the VAIO.
Can anyone tell me what could be wrong with the network connection?
