very slow on channel change

My Sony Bravia 40" KDL-40EX501 from 05-22-2012 has recently gone very slow on channel change, taking 8 or more seconds to show the selected programme. Also, on regular channels, Anybody had any experience of these problems and have you found the fix? the TV is updated

Have you tried doing a full re-tuning of all channels. Maybe even a factory reset could help.

Also used to be the case that if you deleted channels you didn't watch like kids tv or shopping channels, this would speed up the EPG. This may not still be the case but certainly speeds up scrolling navigation.

I have the same problem with my Sony Bravia.  I've tried resetting to factory defaults and re-running channel scans with no improvement.  Very frustrating.  Did you ever find a fix?
