Hi
I am thinking of buying the sony oled a80 from another supplier , what warranty will I get and will I still get a sony warranty
Hi @mannicra The first year of warranty is always with the Retailer. If (and it is a big if) the retailer sells you the TV with an extended warranty then Sony will honour the warranty. You need to keep proof of the extended warranty, either written or take screenshots of the webpage etc. Plus a copy of the sales receipt as this is the first thing Sony will ask for before considering any warranty claim.
Hi @LightFoot if I don't buy an extended warranty off the retailer will sony carry on the rest of the years to a max of 5.
Thanks
Hi @mannicra Sony TVs only come with a one year warranty. You don’t buy an extended warranty if the Retailer bundles in a 5 year warranty like John Lewis. You do not get a 5 year warranty automatically.
Hi @mannicra
Another example with a clear 5 year warranty - Argos.
Minor Retailers may sell cheaper, but only 1 year warranty is included.
Heyy @mannicra, the warranty depends on where you get it the TV from but the standard warranty is one year from the manufacturer you can buy an extended warranty from the point of sale while purchasing, or you can check if your TV and dealer are eligible for this 5 years warranty campaign BRAVIA 5 year warranty
