Buzzing noise on Sony KDL-40WE663 when changing channels

Recently purchased a Sony KDL-40WE663 and encountered a buzzing noise or beep which occurred either changing HD channels or following catch-up when the programme had been paused. The fault didn't arise on non-HD channels for some reason. The set was connected to a Sky box.

Sony support took me through set-up again and various trouble shooting which didn't unfortunately resolve the issue. However I then discovered, by trial and error, that by changing the sound setting for Digital Audio Output HDMI on the Skybox from "Dolby D" to "Normal" the buzz was no longer there.
