taking a picture

hi!!i just want to know why i can't take picture from my phone experia ray using my forefinger while the camera facing me but when i used my thumb (im the one taking the picture) it just take a shot..it's very hard to take a picture if ur the one taking it...u have to press it so many times before it shots..someone help me..

This is very strange, as I am able to take photos with the camera with all my fingers there really is no specific way to perform this task.

I think I know what might be the problem here.

When you aim the camera towards someone and have face recognition on you need to tap outside the "face box". If you tap on this box it won't take a photo.

Try this and let us know.

thank you so much markus!!!i was indeed on face detection setting!! i could take a picture now with a slight touch of my fingers..but how do i get rid of the new software updates icon on my phone??i tried connecting it to my laptop and upgrade it but keeps on failing..what should i do??

If the update via PC Companion is failing, try the SE update service. Follow the steps mentioned in this thread and do the update:

Try what Ray_User is suggesting if you indeed have issues with PC Companion. Either that or try to detail the issue you have with PCC and I'll do my best to help you get it working.
