Xperia keyboard has stopped working

I have Sony Xperia L phone.

My issue is that the Xperia keyboard has stopped working suddenly.

Hence unable to type anything

When checked in settings-Language & Input-Keyboard & Input Methods

The Xperia keyboard option is checked but is greyed out(unable to select it)

Please advice.

Mine stopped too and PC companion is not working!!!!
