Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
To hide a folder from the album you can create a file called ".nomedia" in that folder using a file manager or an app. Check this thread for more information: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1-Compact/nomedia-file-invalid/td-p/442323

Yes, Album will display all pictures on the phones memory. If you don't want to see pictures located in a certain folder you need to create a .nomedia file in that folder to hide the folder from Album and the media scanner in Android.

I think this is the same problem that I've after updated my phone.
I've read that the problem is in mediascanner that it ignores .nomedia files. If you install a file explorer you can see if this .nomedia file are in your folders.

Hi,
This album issue is annoying.
It brings up all the images (small http pics or anything) in the phone when it is opened.
Why would anyone want to see the pics of his web history, or pics of some web apps?
Why do we have to add a .noname file anyway? should it be our concern?
I hope that you consider to update the app so that we can select the opening folder as "Camera".
Best regards
