FX2 set up issue

Hello, help please… On my new FX2, if I’m in 50fps (fixed) then the mics on the camera are on and record sound. When I switch to 25fps variable as recommended for PAL, the camera mics are turned off and no sound is recorded… As I am shooting in the UK (PAL), I should record in 25fps as 50 is half speed in slow-motion It’s doing my head a bit… Does anyone have a solution or is it just new boy finger issue? Thanks.

You have to shoot in XVAC S 4K or S-I to be able to use 25fps with sound or change it to NTSC. In HS it doesn't work.

I think it's dumb, a 2k€ camera at least doing this. From what o could understand, in HS in 25fps, since the camera doesn't have S&Q mode like other Sony's, it considers your doing S&Q when in 25fps for some reason. 

So it's either this or always shoot in 50fps with a massive crop.
