Just got an STR-DN1080 to connect my HDMI devices through it, with one output to my 4K TV (Samsung KS8000).
Apple TV+ box does not work properly through it. Apple keeps auto changing settings on Apple tv box to non HDR. It also reduces the 4K signal to a less quality ratio. Also the video from the Apple TV is noticably jumpy - ie not smooth. When I connect the Apple TV direct to the TV the picture/resolution/HDR is great so it's not the TV or the HDMI cables. It seems the STR is not passing the signal through properly.
I've used different HDMI inputs on the STR, but got same results
I'm using latest Firmware
I've eliminated cables and TV as the problem
HDMI ports are set to Enhanced on the STR
Really frustrated if this product cant actually pass through a 4K HDR signal without distorting it.
Anything else I could try or could the STR be faulty?
Anyone else have this problem or a solution?
