I believe the lower section of the product is all part of the main cabinet and not meant to be taken off, at least not by anyone other than an authorised engineer. As such, I wouldnt recommend it.
Sorry I couldnt offer any further advice, but I dont want to put you in the situation where you can get it in the house, only to find it no longer works.
