it's simply incredible . i've had two cheap android receivers that did it. even my sister's Lg tv does it. but im a Sony fan. would it be possible to introduce this option in a software update?

I assume that you access your remote HDD via a DLNA server. Marking a video as "viewed" is an option that can be handled also on the server. Serviio is able to do it

yes my Sony bdv-e2100 acces a western digital 6TB vi aDLN. i had a Gigatv that did it well. but this feature is not implemented in this home theater.
