Can anyone tell me is it possible to connect either WiFi or Ethernet to my old KDL-40X3500 and if so what do I need.

According to page 46 of the Manual it doesn't have an Ethernet port and there are no WiFi specs which also mean that it's not an Internet-enabled/smart TV.
