Back in November we teamed up with YouView to bring you the best live and catch up TV straight from your Sony Android TV, no need for a set top box or that extra remote - we all have too many of those!
So this holiday season you can get over 70 digital TV channels including HD channels as well as on demand telly services from BBC iPlayer, All 4, ITV Hub and Demand 5. With over a whopping 17,000 films and TV shows to choose from you’ll never be out of shows to watch this Christmas.
If you haven’t got YouView yet on your Sony Android TV we recommend you install the latest software update and it will then appear on your home page. Then simply hit the guide button on your remote and your TV guide will be transformed into the new YouView guide.
YouView makes it really easy to find those shows that you know you’ve missed and everyone is talking about. Either scroll back in the guide using the arrow keys and select the show you missed from the last 7 days or use the great Search function. Search lets you type in a show title, actor or director and the YouView system will search all on demand telly services to find what you were looking for. Just hit select and you’re good to go.
And for those moments when you’re not sure what you want to watch the YouView Discover feature helps you work out what you would like through a whole host of genres, it’s the ultimate anti boredom feature! YouView will show you popular series that may interest you or through the genres and subgenres section, you can refine what takes your fancy to find the right show for you. You may unearth that gem and have 3 series to enjoy.

You will then need to update to the latest Sony software.
Once YouView is enabled, you have accepted our terms of use and are connected to the Internet, you can access YouView from the home screen and start watching your favourite shows or discover that new show to binge-watch.
