(FAQ’s and message boards have not helped.)
You’ve already been directed to the contact information but I wouldn’t hold your breath. I sent a support request for help with no sound in apps, Wi-fi is disconnected pop up and loss of recordings. I attach the suggested solution which appears to be a standard ‘cover all bases’ response. Good luck.

Sony Support did respond quickly, but only to say that the problem lies with the BBC, as they don’t support the iPlayer app compatibility with older TVs (mine is 2014). We have bought an Amazon Fire Stick which works and I can now watch BBC iPlayer on our “old” TV.
