Hi,
I own a Sony KD-65XH9077. I wanted to install a few games on it but i Could only install 2 small games, then it said I do not have enough storage.
So i added an USB to the TV (32GB). I had to format the USB via TV to use it. But i could only move the apps to it. I can not install a game on the USB - if the game is to big it will not install it. And the TV only gives me the option to use the USB as an external storage space - not as an internal space so that i could install apps and games on it.
How can i fix this?
I remember seeing the option "format as device storage", but I've never personally tried it, so I'm not sure if it is the same as internal as you mentioned. Maybe try a larger USB HDD.
That said, Android TV is really not built with games in mind (at least the versions I've seen minus the Nvidia Shield), so I wouldn't hold my breath for that.
Hope this helps!

HDD is never a good idea for adopting storage on BRAVIA as those have bad random access performance. Also, BRAVIA wakes up every few minutes, resulting in spin-down/up of the HDD which will wear out the disk quickly.

Android TV could be a great platform for gaming. BRAVIA just isn't. SoC isn't very powerful. Plus the thing with the limited storage.
I advise against adopting storage on BRAVIA as it is quite flaky, see my review. Same applies to XH90 according to my sources.
hallo, this happened to me either (kd-xh9077) ,so i tried to transfer some applications to usb (32 gb) and then to restart google play with factory settings (without updates)to download more apps.i do it all the time...
