Catch up not working on my Sony Bravia TV

All of my catch up apps have stopped working. You Tube, Prime etc are still working but not the catch up apps.
I’ve already reset my TV and done a full factory reset. I’ve cleared the cache, I’ve reset my broadband hub, I’ve checked the TV has the latest software. I’m now at a loss. Any ideas?

Perhaps you could tell us what model of Sony TV you have and what version of software it is running.

What happens when you try to open your catch up apps, do you get any error messages.

The model is KD-43XE8005. The TV tells me under settings / systems software update that the software is up to date, but it doesn’t give a version number. Where would I find this?

When I open the apps they plays the ads but when they get to the program they say there is an error. Please try again later. I’ve been trying for 2 days. Fur example, BBC iPlayer says ‘Something went wrong. Error code 02100’

On my TV it is found in Settings> Help & Feedback> Help. See if your TV has a similar path but as it is an older TV it may well have a different Settings menu structure.

If it us up to date it should on v6.7220.

All I can find is that it says version 9. There is no ‘help’ under settings

Under help it says version 5.1.A.0.3

when I check for updates though it says it has the latest version

When I go to the ‘search for latest update’ under settings it says ‘your software is up to date’

Under ‘Sony select’ it says version 9.3.8

Version 9 is probably the version of Android the TV is running.

The Sony select number you quoted is the version of Sony select app your TV is running.

As I said your TV will have a different Settings menu than mine, so only you can navigate through the labyrinth of settings, is there a System Information page.

Anyway if Software update is saying you are up to date we can be sure you are probably on v6.7220.

Have you tried connecting your TV to the router via ethernet cable and see if that makes a difference.

Could there be any other devices in your home the could be using a lot of bandwidth and thus making it difficult for the TV to connect.
