Imaging Edge Desktop

I am having problems connecting my A77ii cameral to Imaging Edge Remote on both my MacBook and iMac. I am connecting the camera to the computer using a USB cable and I have the latest version of Imaging software. When I switch on the camera and load Remote on the computer I get a window highlighting the camera, which is correct. When I double click on the camera title I get a message "The camera may not be connected if another application is using the camera feature. Exit these applications that use the camera features, wait a few minutes, and try again." I have not other applications running associated with the camera. I have the option Settings ~ USB connection  ~ PC Remote. Can anyone help me please.

Heyyy gray, I think the issue is from your Macbook or IMac, this message means that there is a certain application on your Macbook or IMac that is actually using the camera like an application you are using to backup Images etc so when you are trying to use the Imaging Edge application what happens is since another application is already using the camera that's why it's coming up with this error message.

Cheers

Hi,

I closed Lightroom and it worked OK. I thought about what you said and due to Lightroom always looking for mass storage items to download photos I thought perhaps Lightroom was the culprit, and I was right. Thanks for your help once again. I think users of Imaging Edge applications should be made aware of this.
