my xperia 10 plus has been very hot after the update to Android 10, and I don't know how to solve it or if it's an update problem!
Check and test.
Open the support app on your device.
Open the user guide and read about battery and maintenance, watch the 'How to boost your battery' , delimit background activity of apps, goto settings -> battery and see which apps are consuming power.
I already did that, the smartphone started to heat up more after the update, in lighter games it gets noticeably hotter, which didn't happen before.
Hi noxzin,
Welcome to the community.
If your phone is overheating, it's probably best not to use it and to try contacting Sony Mobile Support. I'll also see if I can get you some help regarding this.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi @noxzin
When it's gaming then it isn't extraordinary that your device is heating up.
Same applies to video conferencing and things like that.
Xperia devices are protected against overheating and you'll get a warning.
You can test such behavior by laying your device in the sun and take pictures or rather video.
You'll see a warning than that the camera will shut down.
Concerning Sony support:
Xperia devices have direct access to Support.
Just open the Support app on your device and tap on 'Get support' at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down and find 'Contact us'
The screen that opens gives useful information for when you contact Sony Support.
You will be directed to the right regional Support team for your device and your country.
You can mail, chat or call. (the latter during office hours)
I am experiencing the same thing. Also experiencing heat around the rear camera, caused damage to the wide angle lens and is no longer functional. Touch screen has also become intermittent esp when typing, doesn't recognize long press and takes multiple tries. I am infuriated. Please comment with fix if you find one. Called support and they wanted me to send device in for repair
