I previously owned a Sony Xperia X for 6 (!) great years. Sony's email client and widget plus other bits of software were brilliant and so easy to use.
Android 12 stock software is so hard to use and not a patch on it.
I cannot for the life of me get PUSH emails working with Gmail. It is a 15 minute update frequency at best which is no use to me. Can anyone elaborate on getting instant (hotmail account) email notifications preferably using Gmail. There are other email clients but they all have adverts.
Also the wake up of the phone is so unreliable with the fingerprint detection and I don't want to use a PIN. Double tap was great on the X. Why is it not on this phone? The reason I don't want to use the mechanical 'ON' button is because my old Xperia Z1's button only lasted 18 months before breaking...
So far I'm a bit disappointed with this phone.
