Sony Bravia KD43X75WL

I have just purchased the KD43X75WL model. It seems to have YouView built in without the option of installing Freeview (Play). I have an older Sony Model which allows me to replace YouView with Freeview, but this model does not seem to have that option. I have searched the App Store, but Freeview does not appear. Am I right in thinking Freeview is not an option for me on this model?

It is buried away in the settings.

I have a different Sony TV to you so the following path may be slightly different on yours, but have a go.

Press theSettings button on the remote control (small cog or spanner)

From the onscreen menu click to the far left and click on Settings.

Click on Channels and Inputs and click on TV button shortcut.

Click to the right and select Digital TV.

The next page will ask to Select your default TV app for Digital.

The choices are Live TV and Catchup, (YouView) and TV (Freeview).

Select TV.

Come out of the Settings menus. Press the TV button on the remote control.

Now press the TV guide button on the remote control.

This should now have changed to the Sony TV guide which is Freeview.

This is the Sony Support site for your TV, here you will get the manual, downloads and FAQ's

There was an update to the firmware released at the end of August, the TV probably would have been manufactured before this update was released, you may want to download and install it.
