Apps on Bravia KD-49X850B

I have noticed that my Rakuten TV no longer connects and sits on the Rakuten load screen. I use the Netflix and Amazon Prime apps as well and both seem to be still working but I can seem to get any further on Rakuten TV and I have a lot of films on there.

Has there been any changes on the apps side?

Also I noticed that I do not have as many apps to select from. I remember that there used to be a long list of apps I could add to the TV. I guess most have been removed. I am beginning to feel having a smart TV is a waste of time when you are slowly locked out of everything.

Yes it happens, mine is old and only has a few. I don’t have BBC iplayer, apparently it happens when your tv is more than 3 years older.

Go to settings and refresh settings,this worked for me

Factory reset of the TV worked. I had to reset all the apps and connections but it did get Rakuten app working.
