Also having this same exact problem. Was prompted to update software so did so and then the TV went into a state of black screen and unresponsive to any actions via remote or otherwise. I unplug it at the mains for 30 mins twice and just turns on as soon as i hit the mains power on. Just won't turn off at all. Can't do anything with it.
