loud beep when starting playback of recorded HD media

I have purchased KDL-32WE613, which is working great. However the one niggle is that if I play recorded HD programs from my Humax FOX HDR box over HDMI, there is a loud beep every time playback starts or stops. I'm guessing this is due to a change in picture/signal quality being detected or something similar, but does anyone know if there is a way to stop it happening?

Hi there

Normally in the settings of the TV, there is a way to disable 'system sounds' or 'key tones'. However I have had a good scan of the manual and I cannot find this setting. If this is a big issue for you, I would advise you contacting Sony Support to see if they can help.
